Microfluidics enabling innovation

Welcome to this website designed to provide you with an overview of Fluence’s capabilities and services, enabling you to quickly determine whether and how Fluence might support your own research or product development projects. A centre of excellence in micro and nanotechnology focused on applications enabled by microfluidics

Fluence is inspired by nature’s life supporting microfluidic processes (blood, sweat, tears, rising sap, photosynthesis etc) and materials (organic polymers, composites, self assembling amphiphiles, etc) and the power to sense, actuate and control using embedded microsystems (MEMS), optoelectronics and micro and nanoelectronics.

Fluence provides a product and process development service employing hybrid polymer micro and nanotechnology delivering integrated functional materials and devices to support innovators in established and emerging markets.

Open access services are provided from proof of concept to prototyping to supply of product for market development. Operated by Epigem, Fluence delivers its solutions by providing access to equipment and Epigem’s experience and know how Commercialisation can proceed through the manufacturing operations of the client of Fluence or by transfer to Epigem.
